The most beautiful views of Prague within walking distance of our apartments

11. 6. 2026

Prague is a city that can enchant you at first sight. But it’s only when you see it from above—in the golden light of the setting sun, with your partner’s hand in yours—that you’ll understand why they call it the “Golden City of a Hundred Spires.” We’ve put together a guide to the most beautiful viewpoints, all of which are accessible from our apartments on foot or via a short walk. Grab a bottle of wine, a blanket, and let yourself be swept away.

1. Vyšehrad – Secrets Above the Vltava

Vyšehrad is a place where Prague breathes differently. Ancient ramparts, a quiet cemetery of famous figures, the Basilica of St. Peter and Paul, and above all, a breathtaking view of the Vltava River and the Prague skyline—all in one place.

A stroll along the ramparts at sunset is one of the most romantic experiences Prague has to offer. Find your own bench overlooking the river, open a bottle of wine, and let time slip away. Plus, admission to Vyšehrad is free, so you can enjoy it without any stress.

Tip: Arrive an hour before sunset and take a stroll along the ramparts. The view of Podolí, Smíchov, and the distant towers of the Old Town is sure to take your breath away.

2. Petřín – the green heart of Prague with a view of the entire city

Petřín is Prague’s Montmartre. Grass-covered slopes, blooming orchards, the scent of roses, and a 360° view of all of Prague from the Petřín Lookout Tower—it’s a combination that works for every couple.

You don’t even have to climb the observation tower (though it’s definitely worth it!). Just spread out a blanket on the slope below it, open your picnic basket, and watch as Prague slowly turns golden. The paths around the Hungry Wall offer more intimate spots away from the tourist crowds, where you can enjoy moments just for yourselves.

Tip: Take a stroll through the Rose Garden—during the season (June–September), the whole hill is fragrant and the atmosphere is like something out of a postcard. Then continue to the Petřín ridge and watch the sunset over Strahov.

3. Letná Park – a panorama that will take your breath away

Letná is the place where Prague reveals all its beauty at once. From the lookout point by the Hanavský Pavilion, a panorama of the Vltava River, historic bridges, and the rooftops of the Old Town unfolds before you—a view you’ll remember for a lifetime.

The atmosphere in Letná is lively and friendly—locals gather by the Metronome with beer and cola, but if you walk just a few dozen meters along the edge of the park, you’ll find quiet spots with benches and privacy. The sunset over Petřín, as seen from Letná, is absolutely magical.

Tip: Bring a blanket and a bottle of prosecco. Sit on the low wall along the edge of the park, leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind, and watch as Prague lights up.

4. Grébovka (Havlíčkovy sady) – vineyards and romance in one

Grébovka is a hidden gem in Prague. This beautiful park, featuring a vineyard, a romantic gazebo, and views of Prague, is perfect for couples seeking peace and a special atmosphere away from the main tourist routes.

A stroll among the rows of grapevines, relaxing in the gazebo with a glass of local wine, and taking in the view of the city—that’s Grébovka. In the summer, the park also hosts grape harvest festivals and cultural events that make a visit here an unforgettable experience.

Tip: Stop by the Grébovka Pavilion for a glass of wine, then take a stroll up the park’s slope—the view of Prague at dusk from here is absolutely magical.

5. Podolská Embankment – Romance by the Water

Sometimes the most beautiful view isn’t from a hill, but from the river. The Podolská Embankment offers a stroll along the Vltava River with a view of the illuminated Nuselský Bridge and the Pankrác skyline—a scene that seems almost surreal at night.

The riverside cafes and bars are the perfect spot for an evening drink. Let yourself be carried away by the sound of the river, the city lights, and the atmosphere that is so typically Prague.

Tip: Combine your walk along the riverfront with a hike up to Vyšehrad—that way, you’ll have a whole romantic evening all in one place.

6. Riegrovy sady – Sunset with a View of the Castle

Riegrovy sady is renowned among locals as the best spot to watch the sunset. From the grassy meadow on the edge of the park, you’ll enjoy a direct view of Prague Castle, Petřín, and the Lesser Town skyline—and this is exactly where local couples come to spread out their blankets and enjoy a glass of wine.

The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly; the park features a popular beer garden as well as quiet nooks for those who want some privacy.

Tip: Arrive 30 minutes before sunset, find a spot on the lawn, and let yourself be captivated by one of the most beautiful views Prague has to offer.

All of these spots are accessible from our apartments on foot or via a short ride on public transportation. Stay with us and let Prague enchant you—street by street, viewpoint by viewpoint, sunset by sunset.

Book your romantic getaway and start planning your unforgettable Prague story.
